I can’t do it. I’ve tried, but I’ve never done it successfully before.
I know it was familiar to me.
Especially regarding my weight.
I felt like I had never had the body I wanted, even in high school when my metabolism was at it’s highest.
I had never been able to successfully lose weight no matter how many things I tried.
I’ve always had a body that looks like this. That’s just my natural body and it’s never going to change.
That kind of body just isn’t for me.
These were the thoughts and beliefs that filled my brain.
What if we had this mindset for other things we did in our life?
I’ve never gotten a job before, so I will never have a job. I’ve never ridden a bike successfully. I’ve tried, but I keep falling and it’s hard. I will never be able to ride a bike.
What if babies just stopped trying to walk because it was hard and tiring and they were comfortable enough just crawling? Crawling is good enough. It’s comfortable and easy.
Wouldn’t that be crazy.
Everyone else knows they will eventually walk. Maybe it is hard, but that’s okay. It’s worth it. It’s LIFE CHANGING.
And I have good news for you: You can do hard things. Really hard things.
It’s not going to be fun. It’s actually going to suck and be uncomfortable and it will make you feel emotions that you don’t want to feel.
But it’s worth it. And I can guarantee that.
So what do you have to do to get something you’ve never had?
You have to do something new. Something scary. Something BIG.
To get different results, you must do something different.
What you’re doing right now is absolutely not cutting it.
You’re probably not even very close to where you want to be, which means that you will need to take MASSIVE action to get to where you want to be.
Yes, it’s probably going to suck and make you feel like crap and your brain will 100% want to quit.
Your sneaky old beliefs will come around to say hi and going back to what you’ve always been doing will sound like the best idea ever.
This is why we plan ahead of time and work on changing our beliefs.
This is why we honor the commitments we have made to ourselves and learn to trust ourselves again.
Getting something you’ve never had is always an option if you believe that it is an option and you make a BIG change to get there. You will get there if you keep trying.
Keep standing up after you fall down. Fail and fail and fail again. Then, do something about those failures and decide that those failures were a good thing because they are now helping you succeed.
The secret to getting something you’ve never had is to do something you’ve never done.
Do it BIG. Do it when it SUCKS. Do it because YOU DESERVE to honor this commitment to yourself. Do it because you are AMAZING and you can do ANYTHING.
Let’s do hard things. It’s worth it. xx Felicia
